This year, TEAL had the pleasure of serving as coordinator for "Tomatfestivalen" on Finnøy – a celebration with local food, community spirit, and togetherness at its core. We are now excited to continue in this role for the next two years, an opportunity and trust we truly appreciate.
The "Tomatfestival" is a well-established food and cultural festival in Rogaland and an annual highlight for both locals and visitors. With the tomato at its heart and a strong focus on local food production, pride, and community, the festival has for more than 20 years grown into a celebration that combines tradition with innovation.
As coordinator of this year’s festival, TEAL experienced first-hand how volunteers, partners, and local businesses came together to create days filled with bustling activity, flavors, and experiences. We now carry that experience forward as we continue as coordinator for the next two years.
“The Tomatfestivalen is an important event for Finnøy, the municipality of Stavanger, and the food region of Rogaland. We look forward to continuing the collaboration with the festival board and to taking part in the festival’s further development.” says Heidi Netland Berge at TEAL.
The coordinator role involves bringing together the many contributors who make the festival possible, from volunteers and exhibitors to partners and local producers. The goal is to build on the festival’s strong identity while continuing to evolve it with the tomato and local food in focus.
Planning for Tomatfestivalen 2026 is already underway, and we look forward to helping create new festival experiences for both young and old.
