On Thursday, September 25, Randaberg’s town square was filled with local flavors and genuine food experiences. Tour de Taste is part of the Harvest Market in Randaberg and is organized by Randaberg Landsbyforening. The event put local ingredients at the center and gave the audience the opportunity to experience a wide variety of food and drinks from producers, restaurants, and exhibitors in the region. For the first time, participants from the neighboring municipalities of Stavanger and Kvitsøy also joined the event, adding to the diversity of flavors.
Among the exhibitors were several exciting producers from Randaberg, Kvitsøy, and Stavanger. As part of this year’s event, TEAL contributed by coordinating exhibitors from Kvitsøy and Stavanger. From Kvitsøy, both Kvitsøy Lam and Kvitsøy Ysteri took part. From Stavanger, visitors met producers such as Øy-Is from Kalvøy, Naustet på Fogn, Halsnøy Safteri, Finnøyfjøla/Kjelhuset Gardsutsalg, and Sjøberg Ferie. Many of these producers are current or former TEAL clients, and it was a pleasure to see them highlighted on this shared stage.
To mark Stavanger’s 900-year anniversary, Halsnøy Safteri, Finnøyfjøla, and Øy-Is presented special anniversary products. These are available throughout the year, but at Tour de Taste the audience had a unique chance to taste them all in one place.
An evening of flavors and entertainment
The food experiences were accompanied by a program filled with atmosphere and entertainment. The evening was hosted by Kjartan Skjelde, well-known for his passion for food and local produce. With his presence, Tour de Taste became more than just a food festival – it turned into an inspiring evening where the stories behind the products and the producers truly came to life.
